TWO PIANOS: Min Kwon & Eric Zuber

Our new series opened with a spectacular dual-piano repertoire when two world-class pianists performed masterpieces by Mozart, Schubert, and Rachmaninoff. We experienced the brilliance of 20 fingers at work with pianists Min Kwon and Eric Zuber in this unique program. The artists met at a festival in Italy, and the musical chemistry was instantly palpable. Trained at the Curtis Institute of Music and The Juilliard School, both are winners of more than two dozen international piano competitions and have graced countless world stages. This was their first public collaboration.
QUARTET PLUS: Harlem String Quartet with Min Kwon, Lucy Lee, & Patrick Hopkins

Spring brought us the exciting Harlem Quartet, a Grammy-winning ensemble that has collaborated with jazz legend Chick Corea and violinist Itzhak Perlman. Comprised of violinists Ilmar Gavilan and Melissa White, violist Jaime Amador, and cellist Felix Umansky, and joined by our own Artistic Director and CME founder Min Kwon, they performed the lovely Schumann Piano Quintet. The performance also featured two talented doctoral students at Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts: Lucy Lee, viola, and Patrick Hopkins, cello, joining the Quartet for Tchaikovsky’s enchanting “Souvenir de Florence.”
OPERA EXTRAVAGANZA: Favorite Arias

Our autumn concert features the newest young stars of The Metropolitan Opera: Gabriella Reyes, soprano; Brian Michael Moore, tenor; and Lachlan Glen, piano. The program will highlight favorite opera arias, Broadway hits, and fantastic surprises. You won’t want to miss this special fall feature!
